GSP 340: Modfic & Level Design w/Lab

This was my first time using Unreal Development Kit (UDK). The video above is a bit off on sound due to screen capturing; but this is the best attempt to render a usable display of one of the finished projects. I removed the skeletons in order for this to be viewed uninterrupted as well. Also, the volume is a bit low from the screen capture. Please turn your volume up when viewing this, thank you.In this clip, I created the design for the interior of the house, sounds from the environment and character movement, objects in the house, pictures, matinee scene at the end, and the sounds of the witch our character is set out to kill. This was my side of our course project, which is excluding our level design for each week. In other words, we worked practically on two course projects.

Personal Program

Originally this was meant for one of my classes; but I believed that this should show a bit more of what I
can do programming wise. Although, I still consider
myself an intermediate in C++. I believe this was a
great attempt at the 15 puzzle scenario. (Excuse the amount of moves counted, I was a bit rusty on
playing this game.)

Devry University: Applied Development I

In this project, my team took the Dungeon Defenders
and modded it to a Star Wars theme. At the time of the project, we was unaware that the addition of the
Dungeon Defenders Development Kit was a few months
short of the FBX import addition to UDK. Therefore, we had
to use a program designed for adding in custom models to re-skin the models already inside the game itself. Despite this, we was successful on completing in 6 weeks this modded version. I was the team leader; and I did modeled a few towers. However, the Force Field
Tower was the only one able to be added; and the
texture wasn't able to be added in. I created the
sky-dome and the animation of the planets colliding.

Emerging Technologies: Course Project

This project was to take a 'my maps' in google maps,
and place interactive 'pushpins' on that map showing
key waypoints. These pushpins can then be annotated with HTML to show details of those places. The annotations can include youtube videoclips, online photos or diagram, text and other digital media
elements deemed relevant by the student. The aim is
to create a map-based interactive documentary or narrative in which the map of an area, by virtue of
having been annotated with HTML elements in turn becomes the basis for a future locative media project.
The map should cover an area which can be reasonably covered on foot within the space of two hours, for example four or five city blocks, and offer the
viewer/user a clear insight into the ideas/stories and unique personal view of the locative media maker. The viewer of the map should be able to take the interactive map with them into the street, using a tablet or smart phone and using it, clearly identify key landmarks and waypoints, and be able to use the pushpins provided on that map to better understand the locale. So, I took this project and upon myself went around my area; Tuscumbia, AL, to do this project. This town is one of the oldest in Alabama and this country. With significance, the town I live in is the birthplace of Helen Keller; and what "unique personal view" can I give from some other place, this is why I found that the place I was born in would be an adequate and well deserved location for this course project.

Logos

Before Devry University, I was majoring in Graphic
Design. I very much enjoyed creating Logos. So, I used my learned knowledge and created a few for people that was looking for a unique way to express themselves.

Senior Project II

This game was the last course from obtaining my Bachelor's Degree. It is a mod of GSP 340 project. Our team transitioned it into a horror puzzle first person game called Descent: The Reunion. Though we turned it in not finished, I spent the next 3 weeks tweaking and fixing all the bugs (one was unsolvable, so I made it into being part of the story). The team in this course truthfully didn't know how to UDK at all. So, this project literally is either created or modified by me in some form or fashion to an extent of approximately 85%. You may play the game by downloading from my 4shared account on the link to the right.

The game is 377 MB. When downloaded, the game is about 1.4 GB. To download, you click directly below where it states UDKInstall-Descent - download at 4 shared the Download button. From there, you need to click the Free Download option; and the downloading of the game should commence.

AOR Project

I've recently joined Arms of Redemption project. The team consists of several talented artists, programmers, and game designers. At the moment, I've finished working on graphic designs for the team to be included on a variety of t-shirt designs to be given for people that donate to the project being finished.
